Product Description
The wood board microwave insect-egg treatment equipment applies high-frequency 2450 MHz microwave energy directly to polar water molecules inside various wood board materials, including solid timber, sawn boards, plywood, engineered wood and packaging stock. These molecules vibrate, rub and collide at an ultra-high frequency of 2.45 billion times per second, rapidly converting electromagnetic energy into thermal energy and raising the core temperature of the board to a lethal level that kills insect eggs, larvae, pupae and adults throughout the whole cross-section.
Different from conventional chemical fumigation and hot-air kiln drying, microwaves deliver excellent penetrative heating, achieving an even and consistent lethal temperature rise through the full board thickness. It effectively solves typical drawbacks of traditional treatment: chemical residues and toxicity from fumigation, long cycles, uneven heating, surface over-heating while the core remains untreated, incomplete pest kill, cracking and deformation of treated wood boards.

During operation, pre-processed wood boards are evenly distributed on the wear-resistant conveyor belt and fed into the multi-cascaded-chamber microwave treatment tunnel via variable-frequency speed regulation. Microwaves penetrate the board layer for volumetric heating, quickly raising internal temperature to the preset lethal level and holding it for synchronous sterilization while a dedicated exhaust-dehumidification system promptly evacuates water vapor, completing continuous integrated insect-egg killing, sterilization, drying and conditioning of wood boards in one process.
The homogeneous microwave thermal field ensures a uniform lethal temperature and consistent pest elimination at every depth of the board, avoiding surface charring, cracking and fiber damage caused by local overheating. It removes residual moisture and volatile impurities, inhibits reinfestation, mold and decay, and greatly improves dimensional stability, mechanical strength and shelf-life of finished wood board products.

Main Advantages
Volumetric Heating, Complete In-Depth Egg & Larva Kill
This wood board microwave insect-egg treatment equipment adopts volumetric molecular heating rather than conventional surface heating. It realizes simultaneous heating from inside to outside of wood boards, effectively eliminating hidden eggs, larvae and pupae at all depths, with no surviving pests and no untreated core. Finished wood boards show stable dimensions and consistent quality, raising the overall product qualification rate.
Chemical-Free Green Treatment, Full Retention of Wood Properties
The equipment performs controlled low-temperature volumetric heating without chemical fumigants, producing no toxic residues or environmental pollution. While eliminating insect eggs and larvae, it preserves wood fiber, mechanical strength and natural color, and reduces warping, cracking and brittleness induced by high-temperature processing. It is especially suitable for heat-sensitive value-added wood boards requiring good flatness, strength and appearance.
Intelligent Adjustable Process, Strong Adaptability for Multiple Wood Types
Equipped with a PLC intelligent control system, the unit supports stepless adjustment of microwave power, conveyor speed, temperature and holding time. It fits diverse treatment requirements for solid wood, plywood, engineered wood, pallets, furniture and flooring stock. Modular integrated structure ensures stable long-time running with convenient daily maintenance and parameter debugging.
Efficient Continuous Production, Quarantine-Compliant and Eco-Friendly
Fitted with multi-stage microwave shielding and a closed treatment chamber, the equipment reaches ultra-low microwave leakage complying with international safety standards. Microwave treatment realizes synchronous sterilization to suppress harmful microorganism reproduction. The fully-automatic tunnel production line enables non-stop unmanned operation, greatly shortening treatment cycles compared with traditional fumigation and kiln processes. Treated wood boards resist reinfestation, mold and decay, extending storage time for domestic wood brands and export-grade applications.
